Sometimes the problem isn’t the medicine. It’s the gap between the person taking it and the system that prescribed it.

My approach to medicines care has been shaped by spending time with whānau, listening first, building relationships, and helping make sense of medicines in the context of people’s lives.

I STARTED BY SHOWING UP.

But there was another gap too. Some whānau weren’t really sure what their medicines were for, so taking them every day didn’t always make sense. Underneath some of those conversations was something bigger: trust in the health system itself.

Over time, those relationships created enough trust for us to sit down together, look properly at their medicines, and help bridge the gap between whānau and the health system.

STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIPS TO INSPIRE MĀORI HEALTH.

Kia Kaha Chemist grew from those relationships into a different way of providing medicines care, meeting whānau where they were, taking the time to understand what mattered to them, and helping navigate the space between whānau and the health system.

I’m a Metagenics practitioner, which means you can connect with me through their practitioner platform and access their product range.

If you’re taking prescribed medicines, other supplements, or you’re not sure what’s appropriate for you, I’d rather we have a kōrero first.
